A Backyard Built for Every Season
This Broomfield backyard needed one thing above all, a covered space the homeowners could actually use year-round, rain or shine, day or night. We built a large timber-frame patio cover and anchored with a full outdoor kitchen, complete a mounted outdoor TV, a Big Green Egg, and a built-in beverage fridge.
The result is less a patio and more an outdoor room: string lighting overhead, a media wall built for game nights, and a layout that flows naturally from lounging to cooking to dining.

A large timber-frame patio cover with a black standing-seam metal roof gives this backyard true year-round shelter — not just shade, but real protection from rain, snow, and Colorado's intense summer sun. Exposed cedar rafters and warm wood tones keep the structure feeling open and inviting rather than closing the space in.
Centered around a Big Green Egg set into a stacked-stone surround, this outdoor kitchen is built for real cooking, not just decoration. A built-in stainless steel beverage fridge keeps drinks cold without a trip back inside, and the surrounding stone counter space gives plenty of room to prep and serve.
A durable paver patio ties the entire space together, running from the covered seating area through to the dining space and steps beyond. Built to handle Colorado's freeze-thaw cycles without shifting or cracking, the paver surface gives the whole backyard a clean, cohesive foundation for everything happening on top of it — from lounging on the sectional to gathering around the dining table.
Warm string lighting strung beneath the patio cover, paired with integrated step lighting along the paver stairs, keeps the space glowing well after sunset — practical for safety on the steps and just as important for setting the mood for evening gatherings.
